These carbon steel balls are precision manufactured in compliance with AISI/SAE carbon structural steel standards, with carbon content as the core differentiator leading to distinct mechanical properties. They are processed via precision forging, grinding, polishing and other professional procedures, featuring high dimensional accuracy, good roundness and stable performance, and are widely used in mechanical transmission, bearing accessories, hardware fasteners, hydraulic components and other industrial fields. The product can be customized with different precision grades (G10-G100), surface treatments and sizes according to customer requirements.
AISI 1010 Carbon Steel Balls
Core Material Characteristics
AISI 1010 is a low-carbon steel with carbon content of 0.08%-0.13%, low manganese content, excellent cold formability, high ductility and toughness, and good weldability. It has low hardness and strength in the as-rolled state, and is not suitable for heat treatment strengthening (no obvious hardening effect after quenching).
Key Product Features
- Precision ground, roundness tolerance ≤0.001mm (customizable by grade)
- Smooth surface with Ra≤0.2μm, no burrs or cracks
- Excellent cold working performance, easy to be cold drawn, stamping and forming
- Good corrosion resistance after surface treatment (galvanizing, blackening)
- Low hardness, non-abrasive to mating parts in light load applications
Typical Mechanical Properties (As-rolled State)
- Tensile Strength (σb): 320-400 MPa
- Yield Strength (σs): 180-250 MPa
- Brinell Hardness (HB): ≤150

- Reduction of Area (ψ): ≥50%
Main Application Fields
- Light-load mechanical accessories, low-speed transmission rollers
- Cold-formed hardware parts, decorative steel balls
- General fastener matching, toy and small household appliance components
- Fluid pipeline valves, low-pressure hydraulic system accessories
- Non-precision bearing for low-speed and light-load equipment
AISI 1015 Carbon Steel Balls
Core Material Characteristics
AISI 1015 is a low carbon mild steel with carbon content of 0.12%-0.18%, slightly higher carbon content than AISI 1010, and balanced ductility, toughness and moderate strength. It still has good cold working and weldability, and can achieve slight hardness improvement through normalizing treatment, with better comprehensive performance than AISI 1010 under light to medium load.
Key Product Features
- High precision machining, size tolerance conforms to industrial standard grades
- Good impact resistance, no brittle fracture under small impact load
- Uniform material structure, stable performance after batch processing
- Surface can be treated with electrophoresis, passivation to enhance rust resistance
- Moderate plasticity, easy to secondary processing (drilling, tapping)
Typical Mechanical Properties (As-rolled State)
- Tensile Strength (σb): 350-450 MPa
- Yield Strength (σs): 200-280 MPa
- Brinell Hardness (HB): ≤160
- Elongation after Fracture (δ5): ≥22%
- Reduction of Area (ψ): ≥45%
Main Application Fields
- Medium and light load mechanical transmission parts, conveyor belt rollers
- Automobile and motorcycle low-load accessories, fastener matching steel balls
- General precision bearings for household appliances, small motor shaft parts
- Hardware tools, lock core components, instrument and meter accessories
- Pneumatic components, low-pressure valve core and ball seat matching
AISI 1045 Carbon Steel Balls
Core Material Characteristics
AISI 1045 is a medium carbon steel with carbon content of 0.42%-0.50%, the core high-performance grade among the three. It has high strength and hardness, and can be significantly strengthened through quenching and tempering heat treatment, with excellent wear resistance, fatigue resistance and load-bearing capacity. Its cold formability is poor (needs annealing before cold processing), and weldability is general (preheating is required before welding).
Key Product Features
- Precision forged and ground, high roundness and dimensional stability
- Excellent wear resistance after heat treatment, long service life under medium load
- High compressive strength, no deformation under static and dynamic medium load
- Surface can be hardened (carburizing, nitriding) or chrome-plated to further improve hardness and corrosion resistance
- Suitable for high-precision matching, precision grade up to G10-G20
Typical Mechanical Properties
As-rolled State
- Tensile Strength (σb): 500-600 MPa
- Brinell Hardness (HB): 160-200
- Elongation after Fracture (δ5): ≥16%
